Dog Days 5K and 2-mile Walk at Festival South – Mississippi
The Dog Days 5K walk/run and 2-Mile Walk raises money for the Hub City Service Dogs program. Both races start and finish at Kamper Park in Hattiesburg, MS.
Dogs must be on leash. No retractable leashes allowed.
The route will go through quiet neighborhoods in Hattiesburg on a shaded path. The races begin at 7:30 a.m., but make sure it’s still not to hot for your pup to participate. The event is timed.
There will be breakfast at the Dog Days event as well as a dog costume pageant with prizes in categories such as best dressed, best parent & pooch pair, most handsome hound, diva dog and more.
All participants both with and without dogs in the 5K and in the 2 mile will receive a finisher medal and a t-shirt.
Awards will be given out to the top overall first place male and female with and without dogs.
The Dog Days race is also part of FestivalSouth, an event series in Mississippi that offers events to locals and tourists.
