Salt Flats Endurance Run – Utah – Dog Friendly
The Salt Flats Endurance Run in an ultramarathon that allows dogs in all distances, including the 50K, 50 miler and 100 miler. Dogs are allowed to run sections of the race with you. Or, you can register your dog to run the entire race and they will essentially be treated as a human runner.
Dogs are even allowed off leash between aid stations. The race director asks that you leash your dog within 50 yards of each aid station and keep them leashed while at the aid station as well as the start and finish of the race. Crews are also required if you bring your dog so you have someone to hand your dog off to, just in case.
Dogs that are registered will receive a race T-shirt, a bandana, access to human food at all the aid station as well as medical care at the aid stations. Although, there will not be a veterinarian on site.
